things god is worthY, Deserving of all our love and praise for all eternity, Only god has proved himself worthy of all our love and praise all our days, Realize if it was not for him there would not be a me and you, And if it was not for him we would not be free, That is because if Satan was our master we would all be slaves, In the colb world that we he would rule there would be a lot of graves, All because those who chose not to follow him he would have killed, Now that you know the truth who do you wish to serve Satan and be his slave or god who is A lord of the free willed, [2] THE MOUNTAIN TOP There is a mountain that stands in everyone's way, How we traversed it depends on how we live from day to day, Each of us has a choice doing good which is like climbing over and doing evil which is like going around, Many decide it is easier to go around and when they do it is found, Only by going to the top do we get eternal life which is a true blessing, Unless we do climb the mountain we won't learn all of life's lessons, Now these lessons we need to know to get into the promise land, Those that do not learn them will only for a moment of time before god's throne stand, And then they will continue their journey where there is only one type of light, It is the fires of hells light, None of god's forgiviness and none of god's love, That he sends to us now from heaven above, Only by suffering now to attain the top of the mountain, Places in a position so that we can obtain everlasting life in heavenly bliss and and drink of the living waters from god's holy fountain, [3] GOD CAME FIRST God is and always has been with is, Only thing is that some cannot see him because of Jesus, Don't get me wrong, Christ is my savior and my love for him is strong, And I do not mind giving him praise, Most of my love and praise goes to his father and I will continue to do so the rest of my days, Even Jesus said there was only one god and he was his heavenly father, From the beginning of time even to the times of Jesus there was only one god and no other, In the early days of the church knew that Jesus was god's son, Right now though the idea they had back then has almost gone, So many people these days have turned away from god and worship Jesus, They don't realize if they don't change before Jesus comes back and gets god's children they will not be going back with us, [4] WHEN YOU DIE When you die what is expected, When you come before god's throne, Will you be accepted, By your merits alone, Or will you be rejected, And sent to your fiery home, Will you have on your side the lord, And will he have a smile or a frown on his face, A smile would mean you were adored, Because you live and work in his grace, Or will he have a frown because you did nothing but learn his word, And never raise a finger to help the human race, Can you remember just one thing, That the angels would have reason to remember your name, And about it with voices of adoration sing , Which in the eyes of god would bring you fame, Or will your evil acts cause god's ears with pain to ring, In which case your soul will be given to the keeper of the eternal flame, So what is it going to be, Will youe face in heaven be lovingly known, And when you appear will the angels clap and cheer with glee, Or when you are seen you are unknown, And by this you are considered an abomination not fit to see, Then with angels booing into the fire of hell you are thrown, You know it is not too late, To do what is right, And change your fate, For as long as you are breathing you can still go into the light, And serve the father of love and not hate, And become a child in which god will delight, So make the right choice today, For you alone can make the choice, Don't throw your eternal life away, Be one of the ones that gives all heaven a reason to rejoice, When you come before god's throne on judgment day, Then you will hear god say welcome home my child in a loving voice, [5] GOD IS God is good to me, For he sets me free, From all my worries pain and sorrow, So I can raise my head up and look forward to tomorrow, God is good to us, For he sent his son Jesus, To bring about an end to sin, With his blood we were all forgiven, God loves us all, Especially those who answer the shepherds call, And comes out of the dark and cold, Into the light and warmth of the shepherds foal, God is good, Like a father should, Taking our hand, And leading us through this dark and dangerous land, God is our master, For he created beauty from disaster, With his mighty hand, He made man and woman, God is the first father, Adam was his first son and Eve was its first daughter, From them came the original sin, God had another son his name was Jesus who died to bring about its end, [6] CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IN WHO I never feel alone when I walk in the light, That is when I always have a friend at my side, He seems to go away though when I walk in the shade or it at night, At those times within me he abides, At least that is where I think he goes, Of course it might just blend in with the dark, If it does I'll never know, Four on this earth it does not leave a mark, I have another friend though, He Is always with me in the night or day, He is someone that even you should know, For if you do not you will wish you had on judgment day, He is the one that brings to my face a heavenly glow, Especially when I smile, If he left me I would know it even in the dark, Not just because he has been with me for while, But because on my heart he has made a mark, A mark that has changed me, From A man of sin, To A man that is sin free, He's just not here for me but for all men, He is here for you, If you will only try to know them, And he will reside in your heart too, And at your journeys end like me you will join him for all eternity in his father's heavily realm, [7] TEARS Tears should not be cried for the dead, Everyone should cry for the living instead, All of those that don't know Jesus, Realize he is the only one that can save as, So cry for the ones that will not listen when we talk about him they will be the ones left behind when we go to god's heavenly realm, [8] IT STARTS WITH LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR Do you love your neighbor, If not then you cannot love the savior, For he is in us all, In some of us though the portion is small, In others he fills them through and through, If you wonder what he is there ore he is there to save me and you, It does not matter who you are, You are a possible new born star, A star that could shine so bright, That it could penetrate the darkest satanic night, And lead god's children down the right path, Away from god's wrath, But first he is got to get you to shine, And he don't have much time, Because the day is almost here, That all Christians have waited for a many a year, When Christ comes for god's children, That are pure of sin, And takes them home, To the foot of gods throne, As for those that will not be going, They will pay for not loving their next door neighbor and the lord and savior, [9] JUST TO SHOW YOU Who are you, Who do you think I am, Are you the king of the jews, My kingdom is not of this realm, Then the beating began, But still he did not cry out , They'beat him more than any man, For satan's power was all about, He wanted jesus' totally destroyed, He gave his servants of free hand, This they truly enjoyed, They beat him until he no longer could stand, They would of beat him to death, If it was not for Pontius pilate, For he stopped them just before Jesus took his last breath, If he had been ten minutes, Jesus would not have made it to the cross, For he would of died on that floor, And we would've lost, The lord and savior that we adore, There would not be any christians, And we would all be dieing in sin, It is amazing what one man went through, Could affect me and you, It just goes to show you Jesus was and is the son of god sent to earth to save me and you, [10] JESUS Jesus was born an ordinary child without healing hands, Ever so slowly he acquired healing hands by having faith in god's master plans, Saving the souls of man was what he was here to do, Under the shadow of the cross is how the saved you, So it was not the healing hands that brought us salvation but the nails drovel through them that built the Christian foundation, [11] WHAT'S RIGHT We sometimes go through things that we feel are wrong, Hurt that comes from the wrong is known to tag along And it might even cause tears in our eyes, That's because we can't understand why, Something like this should happen to you and me, Realize if we face the problem it will set us free, It is because each time we survive trials and tribulations, God is helping us to build A firm foundation, He is helping us build in our heart his temple , Then when the temple is done and his light shines from us we become for his up and coming children a perfect example, [12] DESIRE Devil is the cause of most desires, Evil is the matches that lights the fire, Sin is the hot coals that are burned, In the heat of the flame is the things that is yearned, Repentance is the fire extinguisher that puts out the flame which makes Satan hiss, Even as you repent the blood of Christ puts out the fire and takes you back to the state oh heavenly bliss, [13] GODLY WALK Give god the reins of your life and let him in your heart reside, Only then will you have A uninterrupted stride, Down the straight and narrow path, Leading you away from god's wrath, You cannot go wrong, When you let god lead you along, All obstacles Satan puts in your way, Left there to lead you astray are taken away, Kept clear by god's own hand so you can walk a clear path to the promised land, [14] TRUTH Telling lies is A sin, Realize you will pay for it in the end, Unless things have changed in heaven, There is no way you can get in, Having told a lie and not getting forgiven, [15] LOVE UNCONDITIONAL Life is full of ups and downs, On our face it can cause a smile or a frown, Very rarely does the smile or frown last all day, Even when we are having a good or bad day, Under the influence of god though, Never again will your day be so so, Because the love of god will make your frowns go away, On your face will be a smile all the day, Nothing is better for you then a good morning start, Does you good to have god's loving in your heart, It what help ease your burdens, And if that is not enough it will help keep away your urge to sin, It will also help you overcome pain and sorrow, Opening the door to a better tomorrow, Nothing can refresh you better when of this world you are tired, And god's love is plentiful for among Christians it's much desired, Love of god is always near if you want to feel how good it is just open up your heart and let it in there, [16] MOUNTAIN OF SIN Many people lose their right to go to heaven and stay, Only the because they forget to be forgiven of thier sins every day, Unable to see the damage unforgiven sin can do, Nothing can do more damage to your soul that resides in you, Then the buildup of unforgiven sin, Its because sin does not just go away it must be forgiven, And most people let the unforgiven sin go, Neglecting it only allows the amount of unforgivin sin to grow, Oh if you could only see how much it has grown, From the day your sin was first known, So how much do you think you're lugging around, Is it enough to make the heavenly father frown, Now's the time to make it right just go to your knees and ask for forgiveness for all your unforgiven sin and watch that mountain of sin disappear from sight, [17] GOD IS GOD Go ahead and look at the deities of other religions, Of all things that is one of my greatest freedom, Don't be disapointed of what you find, In all of them you can separate them into two kinds, Simply put how we live our life and who was our creator, Gives us the separator, Of all of them only god is a creater and only he can set you free, Despite all you hear and see only god was willing to give up everything for you and me, [18] DON'T CRY Don't cry, One of these days you will understand why, Not here on earth though, There's a place where all good people go, Christ is saving a place for you and me, Realize it is in heaven that you will see, You should be Clapping and laughing with glee for in heaven is where we will be happy as can be, [19] A NEW DAY IS HERE As we wake to this new day, Never before things seen, felt an experienced will come our way, Experiences never tried will be found as something we delight in or wish to ignore, We will feel things that we have never felt which will bring us disgust or begging for more, Does your heart cry out for change, And will you ignore the call and cause yourself irreversible damage, You have the power it is called free will something that god gave to you that Satan would love to kill, If you allow him to do this to you, Someday in the future that decision you will rue, Hell is full of those who did not try something new, Even if you try it and find it is not something for you, Realize at least you have experienced a god given right that he gave to you and me, Embrace this god given right and you will see what satan does not want you to feel which is the filling of being free, [20] WAIT ON GOD We sometimes pray and think we will get a answer right away, And we get to a point when we say, It is something he can not do, Then you think you have done something wrong that's why he does not bless you, Over A period of time you give up on your blessings, Now listen to me and learn a lesson, God is all powerful and there is nothing he can not do, Only thing he might be doing is testing you, Don't fail the test by losing your patience wait on the lord and you will truly be blessed, [21] THE FORGIVEN There in that hospital bed, Waiting alone for the time to come with dread, It is that enough to be in a hospital bed lying, But also to know that you are dying, There is no way to learn how to cope, The only thing you can do is hope, That all your sins are forgiven, And your final destination is heaven, Well lying there I seem to remember a long time ago, Someone I caused lot of woe, That use to be a good friend, But because of my callousness I brought it to a bitter end, I would've never thought that one day I would rue, Making an enemy out of you, Especially now as I waited here in this bed alone, Waiting to be summoned to the heavenly father throne, Yes It would've been nice to have someone near, To help me cope with these fears, Well I could not help thinking of you, And how at one time our friendship was true, I thought of what I did, And what I had said, I knew there was not much I could do, To make it up to you, Well I closed my eyes uptight, And asked god to help me make it right, Well I thought I would give you a call it home, Knowing you would probably hang up the phone, Then like the answer to my prayer, You were there, Standing at my bedside, With tears in your eyes where you had cried, I wondered at what had brought you there, Was it to laugh from a face or was it really for me you still care, Regardless the reason you were there, I think god that you were here, As I looked into you tear filled eyes, I too began to cry, Not because of the fact I was about to die, But because of all the time I let you go by, Without making things between us right, And ending the fight, That kept us apart, I had a chance to do it now but before I can start, You had already said the words I need to hear, With three little words that you whispered in my ear, Instantly I felt relief, And also fell a surge in my belief, I never got to respond, For my life force had gone, And I died with those three words ringig in my ear, Which set me free from that world of hate and fear, My spirit went before the lord, Where again I heard those much needed to hear words, I forgive you was what I heard from my friend at my earthly end, And with I forgive you from another friend in heaven my eternal life began, I have got some good advice if you will only listen, Don't lose a good friend, Because of a unforgivin fight, Do what you can to make it right, And don't let unforgivin sin, Keep you out of heaven, In both cases ask to be forgiven, Before your days end, For if you wait, One day it might be too late, [22] WHEN YOUR TIME COMES When your time on earth is through, And the devil comes for you, There's nothing you can really do, To keep the devil from taking you, On that day you are dropped in that hellish brew, You are going to wish god forgave you, But it will be too late for you, For he will no longer know you, Lord lead me down the path that is right, So I can always remain in your sight, Every date before I start, Put A double portion of your love of my heart, So I can be more each day like your son, Who gave his life so your will on earth would be done, You know god really loves you, And you know that love is true, After what he and his son did you cannot help but to believe in them two, And he is ready to help you to get through, All the things that you'd need to, And if you give yourself to him you will be born a new, That day that you do, Will be the happiest day you ever knew, Lord lead me down the path that is right, So I can always remain in your sight, Every day before I start, Put A double portion of your love in my heart, So I can be more each day like your son, Who gave his life so your will on earth would be done, [123] MY HEART My heart belongs to my lord, Yes it is true all because I love and trust his word, He is the only one who has proven that I can trust him with my heart, Every morning he proves it by waking me be up to a early morning start, As I wake up I close my eyes and say a prayer to him, Requesting him to take my heart to his holy realm, There it is protected from sin and if I was to pass away I would join it there in heaven, [124] COULD YOU O what a happy night for Tom, To have his girl in his arms at the prom, Jenny was happy too, For she knew Toms love for her was true, They were just two teens together, With eyes only for each other, Although there was a crowd all around them, It was like they were alone just her and him, Neither of them had much to say, As they danced the night away, What what needed to be said they did it with their eyes, And long winded love filled sighs, Stan was another teen, Everyone knew him for being mean, He hated to see anybody happy, Especially Tom and Jennie, He wanted so much to break up their romance, So he went and asked to jenny to dance, Tom and jenny would not have it, So stan pitched A fit, And tried to start a fight, Everybody knew that wasn't right, The principal told him to leave them alone, Or he would call his parents on the phone, Wels Stan left the prom in anger, And Tom and jenny thought they were out of danger, They did not know Stan was just down the street, With the hate within him stirring up heat, On the other side of the river bridge he parked, And sat there in the dark, He knew that it would be tom and jenny a alone, Who would cross the bridge on the way home, So he waited there for their car light, To come into sight, The more he waited, The more tom and jenny he hated, Consumed with that hate, He thought of things he could do to bring about a horrible end to their date, Well when the dance was over, Instead of going with the others, They set there under the light of the stars, Tommy thought he would get a kiss and maybe more from jenny while they set in the car, After all they were in the parking lot alone, But his Christian values kicked in and he decided to take any home, After all there was no hurry, For he knew it would not be long before they would marry, And spend the rest of their life as man and wife, Well he pulled onto the road, Heading for jenny's abode, As they were about to cross the bridge, The lights came on a car on the other side of the bridge, And headed straight for their car, They hadn't gone far, When Tom realize that the driver must be drunk or a crazy man, Then he thought of Stan, It must be him, And he meant to wreck them, As the inside the car filled with the headlights glow, Tom realize there was nowhere to go, Both cars collided with each other, And went over the bridge railing and into the water, Tom's car went over the right side and stans went over the left side, Tom never felt the water because before the car went over the railing he had died, As soon as the car hit the water it started with water filling, Jenny came out of shock and started screem, She tried to get the seat belt loose, But it would not let go and it could not ofbeen any tighter if it had been A noose, She struggled at the belt in haste, For the water was already at her waist, It would not be long before she would be breathing her last, Well the water started to cover her head, And she knew if she did not get help soon would be dead, As she was about to give up hoping, That's when the door car door opened, There was Tom in the water standing, And with a yank and A pull she was in the water swimming, She swam to shore, And she looked for the one she adored, But all she could hear and see, Was Stan still in his car screaming The only thing she did when she saw this sight, Was to shake her head and say serves you right, When she looked around again, She saw tom then, Behind him stood angel in white, Both of them were standing in a heavenly light, Tom smiled at her and told her he would be waiting for her in heaven, That's wheen our life together whould truly began, As for stan do what you think is right, Then Tom and the angel disappeared from sight, With tears her eyes, Again she heard stans cries, At first she thought let him die, And in a cold grave lie, But she knew it was not right, Even though she knew if things were in reverse he would be standing on the bank watching with delight, She ran toward then swam to his Car, When the water had reached his neck she got to lose Car, And with all her strength she pulled open the passenger side door, There lying on the floor, Was A hunting knife, To far from him to reach so he could save his own life, Fear was in his eyes of stan, As jenny came near with a knife in her hand, The water went over both their heads, And he just knew he was soon to be dead, But jenny took the knife and cut him free, And he was swimming to shore behind jenny, When jenny reached the shore she set down and stan at her side, He looked at jenny and said, If it wasn't for you I would be dead, Don't thank me she said its Tom you need a thank, How was this stan thought when he could see Tom dead on the bank, Jenny told stan of what tom's spirit had done, And where afterward it had gone, Then Jenney picked up the phone, That was at toms side and called home, Before long help was coming for them, Stan got on his knees and asked Jenney if she could forgive him, Jenney said you are already forgiven, As I saw Tom go to heaven, Besides you did Tom A favor, For he now is in heaven with our savior, And one day I will be two, Can say that about you, With that she had nothing else to say, As she walked away, [25] WICKED THINGS When we hurt a friend, Is it considered a sin, Can it if it is a sin be forgiven, Kicking them while they are down, Educates them to be careful when you're around, During times of need don't expect them to be found, There is another type of hurt though, Hateful it can cause everlasting woe, Its considered as the Lowest blow, No weapon is considered worse, God told us about it of course, Sinfull and by some unforgivable it is the tongue and out of all hateful things that causes mankind trouble it is the greatest source, [26] HEAVENLY HIGH Here on earth only one thing will give us a heavenly high, Emotionally charged from pain and sorrow it willset you free, And it can also bowl you over like waves in the sea, Very thing I am talking about a course is love, Everyone will go through it at least once in their lifetime, Nothing here on earth has more power to open the gates of heaven, Love is also the largest single source that has sent many to hell, You've got to be careful when it comes your way, Hopefully it will be between you and your soul mate and will cause in you and them a sigh, If you have experienced this in your life raise your hand and say I, Go ahead and join the high you get just make sure the one your loving, Hasn't a significant other for that will only lead you to hell were the flames are high, [27] HATE AND HELL Hate is the highway to hell, Allow it to consume you and all that god has done will fail, The love, kindness, and forgiveness that to you he freely gave, Evaporates before his eyes and leaves him no choice but to toss you into hell where the flames are high, [28] WHAT'S WRONG WHAT'S RIGHT Daddy was drawn again, When he came and picked me up at my friends, I did not say a word, For when daddy was drunk his tongue was like a two edged sword, I just sat quietly in the front seat, As the car that seemed to have a mind of its own went down the street, Daddy could not have been doing much driving, The way his head kept nodding, As I said before I could not say a thing, So I did the only thing that brought me comfort and that was praying, As I finished my prayer, I heard by daddy swear, I openned my eyes to find, That the car had lost its mind, It was no longer in the street, But it was where the trees and ditch meet, Daddy had lost control, And the car had began to roll, I did not have my seat belt on, So out the car I was thrown, The last thing I did see, Was the call or rolling over me, The next thing I remember was being in a hospital bed, That was when I learned that daddy was dead, I also learned from the Dr. I would not be doing any more walking, Thanks to daddy's drunk driving, I lay there and listened to what the Dr. said, About what to me the car did, He said I would never have another chance, To go out and dance, I did not agree to what he had to say, I knew in my heart that somehow some way, I would walk again, If not here on earth then in heaven, Well after a considerable time in hospital care, I left there in a wheelchair, Mama had always been at my side, And between the both of us a lake full of tears we had cried, If nothing else those tears, Help give me relief from my grief and fears, They also helped strengthen, The belief that one day god would have me walking again, Every day I would try to wiggle my toes, And when I could not I did not let it cause me woe, I never gave up on myself, And the idea that one day I would again have perfect health, Although my life was no fun, It did go on, Although I did not walk, I also did not sulk I always had a smile on face, For although I was crippled I was still living under god's grace, I wanted people to see, No matter what happened I would always be happy, And no matter the struggle, I always could find relief in the pages of the bible, No one seemed to want me after mama passed away, So I went to one of those homes for invalids to stay, I depended on god a lot after that day, And every morning, noon and night I closed my eyes to pray, I always thanked god for his loving hands, Even though he did not heal me so I could stand, For I knew I was serving a purpose for him, I also knew he would make it right when I got to his heavenly realm Well when one night that time finally came, I went to sleep and when I woke up I wasn't lame, At least I felt I wasn't any more, I was lying on the floor, In a room full of light, And coming into my sight, Was my lord and savior walking toward me, What a wonderful thing to see, He reached down, And I took his hand and found, I could move my legs and stand, He said come walk with me through the promised land, For you have earned the right, Well the lord walked with me a while and then I continued on alone sometimes stopping to dance with my mama but mostly taking every step with pure delight, Well within this poem I did write, There are some things that are wrong and somethings that are right, Try and pick them out, If you do give me a shout, [29] THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD There is a light that shines on god's children like you and me, Hardly perceptible for most non believing to see, Every step of our way it surrounds you and me, Leaving our path in this world almost shadow free, In the shadows are things not meant for us to see, Going through those shadows can be hazardous to the fate of you and me, Hazardous because in those shadow are the things that we crave, Things that Satan can use to enslave you and me, O woe to you or me if we enter in for in his world we will be, Finding our way out may not be done easily, That's because the light that had surrounded us completely, Has gone from being as bright as a morning star to a light that is only seen dimly, Finding our way out may not be done easily, We can find ourselves trapped in the shadows a victim to a type of slavery, Our desire for wordly things can enslave us and cause us to walk blindly, Realize the longer we are in the shadows our faith is weakened by our lossof touch with reality, Let us not go a stray from the light even briefly, Delight in it and desireit more than anything for only in the light can we traverse this world safely, [30] LESSONS TO LEARN My journey here is done, And in a cold grave I have gone, Waiting on the call from the most holy throne, Where I will appear before my creator alone, When the time comes could I ever raise my head to view his Glory, Knowing the extent of my history, All the sins I have committed, All the people I have discomfited, I knew I was saved when I was a child, But my life since then and now was quite wild, I did not go to church regularly, And my praying was even less frequently, But when I did pray, I asked Jesus to take my sins away, I hope he was listening, When I was praying, It is still hard to believe, That with the son of god's blood I was made sinfree, There must still be one little sin, That will keep me from staying in heaven, I can almost hear, The words that a fear, That the eternal life I was to begin, Would not be in heaven, But in that hellish land, At the mercy of satan's hand, As I was thinking of where I was going to be, The angels came for me, And set me on my knees before the throne of the most high, And then my name I heard an angel cry, My life story was read then, I could hardly bring myself to listen, It was not long before it was done, I saw two scarred feet before me and I raised my eyes to see gods son, He reached down and took my hand, And made me stand, He said to me hold your head up brother, As he looked toward the heavenly father, Then said I m the shepherd of your frock and this is one of your lost sheep, He has been washed clean in my blood so his soul in heaven which keep, Therefore with your permission please allow him save for all eternity, To stay in your holy city, Then the heavenly father and almighty god, Acknowledge his son with a smile and a nod, And angel came and took me away, And showed me the Manison which I would stay, Well this story has a lesson you should learn, Don't give up hope till you burn, If you're saved that's OK, If not get that way, Don't forget to ask forgiveness while you're praying, Because god and his son is listening, And like me when your life is through, You will be forgiven too, And your life in heaven, For all eternity will begin, [31] MY BEST FRIEND I once had a friend, That loved me to know the end, It was always at my side Whether I laughed or cried, Seeing to my needs, Like a friend in deed, Never did it complain about the food that it hee, Or whether I slept late, It never asked for much at all, Just toss it a ball, And it would make its day, It had a special way, Of looking and wagging his tail, That would never fail, To turn my frown, Upside down, And no matter how bad things got to be, It was always there for me, To cheer me up and make the smile,
